Hits and Misses from Road

Traveling is great way to observe the best and the worst in sales and customer service. Here are a very highlights (and low lights) from May.

Hits:

  • Air Canada Super Elite Concierge Service. I never have to wait in line to check in and they can always get me on an earlier flight for no cost.
  • The new Seat Alert App in the app store.
  • Porter Airlines yummy snacks and wine for the flight home. That City Center Airport really is an amazing location too.
  • Porter Airlines same day flight changes at the airport for no cost
  • Scarpetta in the Thompson Hotel in Toronto – worth the visit for their tomato basil spaghetti
  • Loved this article on the rudest things people do in airports. Accurate don’t you think?
  • Terminal F renovations in Philly. Great improvements with healthy food, power outlets and more seating.  Glad to see airports rising to meet consumer requirements
  • Aloft hotels. Fun “feels like home” atmosphere and great service.

Misses:

  • Hilton Niagara serving powdered eggs to their guests on room service orders.
  • Porter Airlines restrictive carry on baggage policies.
  • Traffic and road closures in Toronto – will the construction ever stop?
  • Losing US Air from the Star Alliance Network
  • Taxis in Toronto. I was told by the Bellman at a major hotel that I should not count on taxi drivers knowing “where they are going”. My destination that night was anther major downtown hotel. Isn’t it the taxi’s job to know where hotels are located?
