I would argue that your product, customer service, finance and others in the company earned most of that. The key value any sales person bring is customers who represent new revenue streams. Other than direct referrals, prospecting is the optimal path to that.

Of course you then have to follow up to see how things ended, and after a 90 minute investment, you have little to show for it other than feeling good.
