What Are Your False Barriers?

What Are Your False Barriers?

The 4-Minute Mile used to be considered a barrier.

People didn’t think it could be done.

Running an entire mile in 3:59????

Until Roger Bannister did it in 1954, that was the biggest imaginary block in the 20th century.

Soon thereafter, many men began running sub-4-minute miles.

Were men in the 1950s and 1960s so much faster than the men of the 1940s?

No, but a psychological barrier was DEMOLISHED.

What Are Your False Barriers

Likewise, more recently, another barrier has been pushed down this year:

The 2-hour Marathon has been cracked.

Kenyan runner Eliud Kipchoge ran 26.2 miles this fall in 1:59:40 (averaging under 4:34 per minute)

And he sent a MESSAGE to you:

“I’m sending a message to every individual in this world that when you work hard, when you actually concentrate, when you set your priorities high, when you actually set your goals, and put them in your heart and in your mind, you will accomplish, without any question.”

Your “Blocks” may not be physical—you may have no desire to run a race.

Maybe you have a financial block—you think it’s unrealistic for YOU to become a millionaire or a billionaire.

But the barriers have already been broken!

What Are Your False Barriers

Speaking of financial barriers, I used to not even consider being a BILLIONAIRE…but as we approach the end of 2019 I know I will become a billionaire, and I am not the first—many have gone before me…and many will follow me.

Will you be one of them?

Just hold yourself to High Standards!

People that break barriers hold themselves to performance standards higher than normal.

  • They don’t compare themselves to others and feel “good” about just being better than average.
  • They push themselves internally to go further than most consider reasonable.
  • They look at the norms—all the stats and the metrics—and see what they can do to be better than that.

Think Roger Banister and the 4-minute mile, or Eliud Kipchoge and the 2-hour marathon…or me and a BILLION dollars.

Barriers are made to be broken, but if you are going to break one you MUST have the right mindset.

If you’re ready to bust through your money barriers, just remember that you aren’t blazing any new trails unless your name is Jeff Bezos or Bill Gates.

Whether you want to scale your business or simply launch a productive career working for a revenue-generating company, I can help.
