    How to get a free trial of Membrain

    When we launched Membrain, offering a free trial was not the right move for us. We felt that we needed to educate customers during the sales cycle because our offering was too different from traditional CRM platforms.

    We wanted to be sure that new users had professional assistance during their buying decision. We also wanted to ensure that they received personal guidance in setting the system up to work at its best. And, we were a bit paranoid that competitors would copy our ideas.

    I no longer think that is the best choice.

    Here’s why and when you can expect it.

    How I came to believe that Membrain should offer a free trial

    Membrain is a platform built specifically for companies operating in complex b2b sales environments. We help companies codify “what good looks like” and scale successful behaviors. This focus, and because companies don’t always have their sales process(es) mapped out, we felt that a free trial would be of limited value.

    With the evolution of Membrain’s capabilities, templates, tools, integrations, and easy-to-use interface, a tech-savvy and educated person can set up a trial and take it for a drive. The evolution of sales enablement and sales operations has also led to more companies focusing on a more structured orchestration of sales execution.

    But, what really won me over to the idea of offering a free trial was my own experience in vetting potential SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) platforms for our internal uses. As I was choosing various platforms, I realized that I didn’t even consider options that did not let me take them for a test run.

    If it’s too hard for me to learn HOW a platform works, I won’t take the time to consider it as an option unless it’s apparent that it’s superior, which is hard to tell when most websites make the same claims.

    This insight brought me to the realization that we have been disqualifying buyers like me – modern, knowledgeable buyers who especially need what we have to offer. This was my moment of truth.     When the free trial will be available

    We have some more work to do to make sure that you can take Membrain for a test run, see for yourself how it can help, and do so in a productive way without creating more obstacles than we remove.

    We expect to introduce free trials with the release of our new Account Growth module on November 17th. After this date, we will continually improve the free trial experience to help modern buyers to achieve intended outcomes as quickly as possible, with minimum friction. We will also tweak our service offerings to assist with tasks like process and playbook design, data imports, dashboard and report creation, and more during and after the trial. And engage our capable partners in this process, some of who have already built Editions with pre-configured sales processes and enablement content.

    How the free trial will work

    The Membrain free trial will work much like free trials of other SaaS offerings. You’ll be able to look around our website, decide which Membrain product you want to try out, ask for a trial, and we’ll spin a Membrain instance up and provide you with the login details for 14 days. The first product we will offer a free trial for will be the new Account Growth, which we’ll release on November 17th (sign up for the launch webinar).

    If you like your trial experience, you can simply begin paying at the end of your free trial and make use of our Clearpath Promise to implement Membrain across your organization at a fixed price and to a defined timeline.
