When I’m out there trying to help people do more and be more in order to help them live the same 10X Super Life I do, one of the things I hear the most often is “I’m too old.” Too old to make it happen. Too old to change. Too old to be great. Too old to be great? Tell that to Tom Brady as he goes for his tenth Super Bowl victory.
The Super Bowl is certainly big news in this country. Hell, it’s broadcast around the world but what everyone is really talking about is the fact that a 43 year-old Tom Brady is leading the Tampa Bay Buccaneers against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. Tom Brady is undoubtedly one of the all-time greatest football with an amazing track record and list of accomplishments. He’s also living proof that age is no obstacle if you’re determined and committed enough. As the Super Bowl approaches, everyone is speculating on whether or not this will be Brady’s last season. Anything is possible but I wouldn’t be planning his retirement party anytime soon just like I’m not even close to planning mine.
As someone who’s at an age at which most people are thinking about retirement, I’m thinking about my next big deal and the one after that. I’m also thinking of all those people who think that they missed the boat. Well, you know the thing about boats? There’s always another one. In fact, there’s a freaking cruise ship coming with space for anyone who wants to take their game to the next level, and it does not matter how old you are or where you are in life. It’s sure isn’t for me and it isn’t for you. So don’t tell me that you missed your shot because I’ll tell you that the thing about shots is you can always take another one.
