The More Valuable Part of Most Conferences

The more valuable part of most conferences does not provide advertising in any of the materials.

Most view the conference as taking place n the meeting rooms and presentation halls, but there is another conference. The unspoken conference discussions occur in the lobby, the hallway, and the bar.

At this other conference, the connections happen, the deals get done, and the real money gets made. By seeking out the extra conversations, you are able to immerse yourself in the more valuable part of most conferences.

While it’s an open secret that the real action is in the bar after the program is over, many event organizers don’t think about that part of the event. It happens organically. The attendees themselves make it happen. Some event planners don’t even know what happens in the bar because they’re too busy running the event.

Connect, listen, and strive to find ways to collaboratively promote one another.

The More Valuable Part of Virtual Conferences:

A unique challenge developed when the pandemic pushed all events into the virtual space.

We are to create everything intentionally online. While in a live event, participants can create these organic engagements themselves. If organizers don’t organize an open networking space, there is no open networking space.

You’ve probably had the experience of attending an event virtually that used to be in person. It had the same great speakers and program, but it was much less satisfying. Maybe you thought it was because you were sitting in your office. But the real difference may have been that the organizers neglected to create those spaces for connection.

Humans are social animals. We thrive on interaction. More importantly, business thrives on interaction. It’s those random encounters where some of the best opportunities occur.

Recently, I had the opportunity to organize a summit. As an authority on relationship building and networking concierge, I know full well the importance of networking opportunities at an event.

In building our Global Networking Summit (running February 21st to 24th, 2022), I aimed to have the best of both worlds.

We brought together 30 fantastic speakers to offer pre-recorded talks on topics ranging from networking and relationship-building to sales strategies and mindset. Attendees can watch and listen to the speakers whenever convenient. Those who get the very affordable VIP upgrade can access those videos whenever they desire.

However, it’s the live interaction where the real action happens. It is why we created some exceptional networking opportunities for our ticket buyers.

From 5 PM to 8 PM Eastern time on each of the three days that we’re sharing content (February 21st to 23rd), you can participate in structured virtual networking. There will be breakout sessions, hot-seat mastermind sessions, and we’ll even be teaching some tools and techniques that you can use right there in the room.

Then, on the 24th, we go all out with a 24-Hour Global Networking Event. From 9 AM to 9 AM (Eastern Time), we’ll be taking the same format and providing you with the opportunity to connect with people from all over the world.

The best part is that all this networking, content, plus quite a few valuable gifts from our speakers, is only $97.

That’s the other thing about virtual. Lower overhead means lower ticket prices. No hotel. No airfare. No overpriced hotel food. Just great content and powerful connections. Virtual events can yield authentic and outstanding results.
