Nimble CRM Tips & Updates – March 1 2024

Nothing, as far as I am aware of, has been introduced to Nimble since our last newsletter. We are still waiting on …

  • Increase group message send limits
  • Message sequencing

No problemo! There is still much to talk about!

Recommended tool

I’ve been using Feedly for several years now. Feedly is a news aggregator which means that you can subscribe to the blog on selected websites, based on your interests, and then keep up with new articles when they are published.

For example, I follow news on selling and on CRM. I also follow articles on my personal interest … guitars. You can subscribe to get new articles from Nimble and you can even subscribe to articles from my website … adaptive-business.com

If you find an article you like, you have several sharing options including posting these to your social networks. I use Buffer to simultaneously post to LinkedIn and X. You can also email articles to people who might be interested like … your valued clients.

While Feedly does offer a premium paid version, I find that their 100% free version is more than adequate for my needs! Same for Buffer.

Nimble Email Compose Window

Let’s take a deep dive and I made you a video! I also have a quick tip for you. You may have noticed that font sizes in Nimble emails look smaller than they would on Google Docs or Word.

The reason for this is that Nimble is expressing font sizes in pixels (px) vs. the more common points. Apparently, there are good reasons for this that are above my pay grade. If you want to determine the point size of a selected px, here is the formula …

Px to point conversion – px / 96 x 72 = font (point) size. Therefore, a px in Nimble of 16 = 12 point font. 16 / 96 x 72 = 12. I prefer a font size of 11, so I will choose 15px which is 11.25 points.

Watch the video!

UPDATE – Nimble has added a points vs. pixels option, in a drop down box, within the email compose window.

Nimble Best Practices

I wanted to start sharing some best practices for Nimble and let’s start with a core fundamental. A Nimble contact record is the nerve center of your CRM. It is also your electronic memory of notes, records of engagements, and follow-up tasks.

You can, and you should, be leveraging these capabilities to provide better customer service and to increase your revenues! Since I don’t need to reinvent the wheel … here is an article that I wrote on the “5 R’s – Sales and CRM 101”.
