From a very young age, I had to deal with loss, death, and grief. Later on, I battled addiction for a long, grueling decade. And with each passing year, I still can’t believe I’m alive to see the light of day…
When I was 10 years old, my dad died.
Another 10 years later, I lost my older brother in a terrible accident.
During this time, I became addicted to drugs, which nearly cost me my life at 23 years old. And I can still feel the cold metal of the .45 caliber pistol against my head to this day.
When my mom finally cut me off and I ended up in rehab, a counselor told me I’d be back there again in no time…
Loss after loss after loss led me to believe I would never live to the age I’m at today.
I mean, how could I hope for another year, when so many had slipped through my fingers?
Looking back on all these experiences, I think I’ve been waiting to die ever since my father passed away.
Back then, I never thought I’d live to see 15 and get my driving license. Or 18, to drink legally…
And man, when I did get to 18, I was in so much trouble that I thought there was ZERO chance of me making it to 20.
Even when I stopped doing drugs, I was just waiting to die every day…
But I didn’t die.
I outlived my older brother, my dad, and my mom.
I can’t believe I’m saying it, but I’m alive and better than I’ve ever been…
I’ve achieved more than I thought I’d live to even see. At age 64, I have amassed over $4 billion in real estate assets and helped millions of people around the world with my books, programs, and events. And I never plan on stopping this cycle of 10X success.
After decades of being completely lost, I found my purpose.
