To help you find these resources, we asked the Crunchbase sales team to share more about one of their favorite outlets for valuable sales knowledge: podcasts.

In our newly remote world, podcasts continue to be one of the most popular formats for sharing information, especially in the sales space. Listeners tune in for morning inspiration while they sip on their first, second, third and maybe even fourth, cup of coffee, during lunch breaks, and throughout the work day (for those crazy multitaskers who can get away with it).

Read on to discover 7 podcasts the Crunchbase sales team is listening to right now for insight and inspiration (in alphabetical order).

1. Conversations with Women in Sales

Hosted by various sales leaders, in memory of Barbara Giamanco

Recommended by: Natalie Blardony, Sales Enablement

What I appreciate about this podcast: “When I was going through a particularly challenging time in sales, I looked to this podcast to give me leaders to look up to, people who had been down a similar path and come out on the other side stronger. This podcast gives a platform to women in sales who may have otherwise not gotten a chance to share their stories. Without them, I’m not sure I would’ve been able to get through that time, and many others since.”

Why I recommend it to other salespeople: “It’s important to get a different perspective, so no matter how you identify, it’s crucial to listen to these conversations. Not only that, but they touch on topics that range from “Finding Your Why” to “Sales Skills are Life Skills” and more, so chances are, no matter what obstacle you’re facing, there’s a podcast with nuggets of wisdom here for you.”

2. Live Better. Sell Better.

Hosted by Kevin (KD) Dorsey, VP of inside sales at PatientPop Inc.

Recommended by: Miguel Diaz, Crunchbase Sales Development

What I appreciate about this podcast: “I really enjoy Kevin’s energy and the guests he brings onto the show. He invites a lot of LinkedIn influencers that I am already following, so it’s nice to see them all bounce ideas off of each other–it gives me a better perspective on different sales topics like motivation and best practices. Kevin’s podcast is also relevant to my everyday workflow and dives into the psychology behind sales methods, which I find interesting.”

Why I recommend it to other salespeople: “Kevin releases lots of free and paid content, but if you don’t have money to pay extra, there are plenty of nuggets to take and A/B tests in any regular sales workflow.”

3. Make it Happen Mondays

Hosted by John Barrows, CEO at JB Sales

Recommended by: Will Reyes, Crunchbase SDR Team Lead

What I appreciate about this podcast: “Many now associate John with his success as a sales trainer, but he’s a fantastic interviewer because he practices what he preaches in each conversation on his podcast. By asking thoughtful, provoking and qualifying questions with his guests, John is able to help curate a conversation that will provide value to first time SDRs and VPs of sales alike.”

Why I recommend it to other salespeople: “If you’re new to sales and want to learn what it takes to be a modern sales professional, I would highly recommend John’s podcast. John’s personal experience as a salesperson and the quality of conversations he has with guests on any subject matter make this a must-listen.”

4. Sales Hacker Podcast

Hosted by Sam Jacobs, Founder of Revenue Collective

Recommended by: Will Reyes, Crunchbase SDR Team Lead

What I appreciate about this podcast: “The Sales Hacker community, blog and podcast center around understanding what today’s salespeople care about and providing them with relevant information and guest speakers that offer tips for success. The ‘Friday Fundamentals’ are a must-listen–they’re typically just 5-10 minutes of quick tips and insights for success.”

Why I recommend it to other salespeople: “The topics are always fresh and often introduce me to new ideas that could be relevant or helpful for our sales team. Sales Hacker is my portal into what other salespeople are testing and trying out.”

5. SDR Chronicles

Hosted by Morgan J. Ingram, director of sales execution and evolution at JB Sales

Recommended by: Will Reyes, Crunchbase SDR Team Lead

What I appreciate about this podcast: “You often hear sales leaders say that being an SDR is the hardest job in sales today, but unfortunately it’s too often just lip service. Morgan started his career in sales as an SDR, managed SDRs, and is now perhaps the best known SDR advocate out there. Every episode of his podcast focuses on simple, actionable items to help SDRs get better and find success in this challenging role.”

Why I recommend it to other salespeople: “Anyone and everyone in sales development, be it a new SDR fresh out of college or director of sales development, should be sure to check out the SDR Chronicles. Morgan’s passion for sales development as an integral part of the sales process radiates through every episode, especially some of the original ones where he’s just dropping 3-5 minutes of helpful tips!”

Recommended by: Miguel Diaz, Crunchbase Sales Development

What I appreciate about this podcast: “Morgan makes the SDR Chronicles podcast very relevant to my role as an SDR. He was an SDR and talks about his journey to becoming an SDR manager, using his platform to document different aspects of his learning and share real-life experiences. He gets people on the show that are relevant, funny and entertaining, and is very raw with his content. He also doesn’t have a lot of fluff or repeated content.”

6. Women in Tech Podcast

Hosted by Espree Devora, podcast producer and host of Women in Tech Podcast

What I appreciate about this podcast: “What I particularly love about this podcast is that it showcases women from a variety of positions in tech, so it allows me, as a woman in sales, to gain more perspective. This gives me tools that I might miss by limiting my podcasts to those specifically centered around sales and allows me to approach the different problems (both internal and external) I face from a different angle which is always a good thing.”

Why I recommend it to other salespeople: “Again, expanding who we listen to, watch, etc. to ensure it reflects the world and the customers we sell to is super important. It’s a great chance to challenge ourselves and ensure we never stop growing. Not only that, but its tagline is literally “If She Can Do it, So Can I” and if that’s not an empowering slogan, I don’t know what is!”

7. Women in Business & Technology Podcast

Hosted by Sonia Dara, product marketing manager – Microsoft Surface and Colleen O’Brien, chief marketing officer for Microsoft’s Venture Fund, M12

What I appreciate about this podcast: “The guests on this show are a true standout for me—as someone who considers themselves a writer, being able to hear from authors, artists and storytellers in addition to incredible entrepreneurs, is incomparable. They offer me a way to combine the left and right sides of my brain that can only make me a better salesperson and a better person in general.”

Why I recommend it to other salespeople: “This is another one that covers a myriad of topics you might not associate with a typical sales podcast, which is always a good thing to help you improve. The episodes focusing on male allyship and the importance of committing to inclusive leadership are particular standouts for me.”
