Frequently, people who strictly focus on their work and goals (corporate leadership included) lose sight of the fact that they and the people they serve are humans.
Staff not recognized as people desiring to learn and advance will soon quit corporate employment. A corporate or entrepreneurial business clientele only perceived as ‘income’ will quickly find another source to fulfill their needs.
Humanizing your effort best serves those in your care to bring about a better tomorrow.
My Story
As the news continues to deteriorate regarding war and all its ill effects, the term humanology is becoming more prevalent. I learned that many who face the undesirable in their lifetime strive to improve and share how they did so for those in their company and those they leave behind following in their footsteps.
It is fortuitous that I connected with Jessica Lockhart, Director of the International Institute of Humanology. The International Congress provided global panel speakers on topics associated with humanology, to which I participated. You may replay the panel programs via this YouTube link.
Poor Experiences Can Lead to Improvements
The discrimination toward me for being a pioneer businesswoman was miserable, but nothing compared to my horrific car accident. Ten years later, upon embracing a near-death experience, I came to realize that our worst experiences are our gifts in disguise.
Disclaimer: The sentiment is only accurate when we step up to fix the wrong(s) for ourselves and others, contributing to the concept of humanology.
To do our best, we must be healthy in mind, body, and spirit and challenge ourselves with physical activities. Once we reach a healthier stage, we can inspire and help more people achieve their goals.
On the other side of the coin, instead of being embarrassed by the ugly experiences of our past, when we share them to include the path to overcoming the worst, magic begins to happen. People see us as humans, offering a helping hand for them to overcome their burdens. It is a part of the legacy we leave.

By sharing our worst experiences and how we finally arrived at our desired destination, our story circulates among many via many platforms. One example is being a guest on a podcast hosted by Shahid Durrani, which featured my theme, ‘Never Give Up!’, which now appears in the Humans of Globe Magazine.
My Motto: Never Give Up; Find a Better Way!
Finding the better way includes increasing our motivation to right a wrong by:
- Asking questions
- Realizing disturbing news
- Witnessing a population at risk
- Speaking up regarding concerns
- Creating or joining a significant group to contribute by acting specifically to correct wrongs.

Feeling sorry for ourselves is natural when we feel like we are sliding down a slippery slope. Sadly, though, lamenting accomplishes little. On the other hand, recognizing what is wrong and how we think can motivate us to begin working to improve the status of others.
Upon beginning personally to witness the effects of your effort, consider how you may incorporate the effort into your business model so that the magic can begin. The kinder people will notice the effort in motion to offer opportunities of a collaborative type. Over time, your communications improve to attract the better people into your life.

When faced with a troubling situation, it is essential to put our mind, body, and spirit to work. Moreover, we must answer the question: If I ignore the negative factors to pursue the positive, might I ask you to join me on the journey, and to which organizations may I contribute? If we decide to act accordingly, leaving a legacy for a better tomorrow is within each of us.
