On rare occasions, it is a unique circumstance that will propel some forward. But for most people who journey beyond what others believe to be possible, it’s more about proving to oneself that ‘Yes, I can do it!’ and living without regret by not trying.

Leave Our Comfort Zone
To achieve our best, stepping up and removing ourselves from our comfort zone is necessary. Regardless of where we reside, we must treat people as humans and offer a helping hand, assuming the feeling is mutual. And if not, it’s best to walk away as quickly as possible to avoid others taking advantage or demoralizing us.
Focus On Our Unique Goals
Never allow others to interfere with the thought that our idea is ‘impossible’ because it isn’t with a heartfelt approach. Our thoughts can be the differentiator for quitting or winning. We must set a long-range plan and then work backward with a list of goals and times for completion until we reach the current day.
As Yogi Berra would say, ‘It isn’t over until it’s over.’ Upon completing goals, it is essential to set new and more strenuous ones in the future to achieve far more than we initially anticipated.
Use Negativity As Our Motivating Force
Growing up with bullies, for me, it became a game of proving them wrong that I couldn’t do it! The game became more strategic in the corporate arena, establishing that a woman can sell and do it better than most!
The better lesson came during entrepreneurship when I began listening to the negativity among peers to realize missing elements from my approach. Soon, I could supersede all expectations.
Rely On Self and Positive Thought
Until we meet collaborative peers, we must travel alone, learning from all the experiences around us. This piece of the journey may include creative projects, enjoying the great outdoors, and travel. Ideas begin to expand; those that repeatedly appear in our thoughts are the ones to pay strict attention to.
Excitement Returns
Whereas the ‘same old’ yields boredom and the thought of giving up, new ideas increase enthusiasm and the quest to attempt the unknown. We can go alone when we are ready to announce our latest achievement. However, seeking out those who think similarly and are willing to reciprocate marketing the accomplishments of one another will make a tremendous difference in our efforts and lives.
Maximize Excitement with Collaborative Partners
It’s a unique treat to find those who appreciate and promote the efforts of one another. Motivation increases significantly for continuing the journey and seeking out new creations for the betterment of many. Ultimately, the endeavor becomes highly rewarding, including making new lifetime friends.

The idea of quitting one’s endeavor is common but figuring out the ‘why’ to improve the circumstance(s) is necessary. Otherwise, boredom will set in, critical thinking will fade away, and the possibility of living with regret becomes real.
We are now about to experience the annual holiday season. Social settings often resemble those of corporate and networking peers at large. Some may want you to quit for fear you will overtake their stature, while a minority will cheer you on.
