I ended up becoming a consultant managing and implementing call center CRM software for clients like Bank of America, UPS, and Eckerd Drugs. I came into Oracle via the PeopleSoft acquisition where I was a sales engineer. My engineering peers, my product, my CEO, my head of marketing, etc. I liked engaging people, etc.
