Unsolicited sales emails can be so awful that I recently compiled a Hall of Shame for the worst cold emails I’d ever seen. A good cold email reflects the fact that the salesperson has researched the prospect’s company enough to grasp the general business model and has at least popped onto the prospect’s LinkedIn or Twitter profile.
